There are no videos in the “improve your game section” for a week now.
Any reason ?

It seems that the videos in the “Tennis Lessons” section are missing. But, they can be found on YouTube.

Yes. I asked Will about it. No replies yet. I am a little concerned they are removing the free lessons to force people to consider FYB premium. The free lessons were so good that I keep recommending it to even strangers I see in the tennis courts when I am waiting for the court. Its unfortunate that not even one good video has been added to the free lessons after FYB Premium was introduced.

Free lessons aren't going anywhere. Like I said above, we're dealing with some technical issues. Hope to have them resolved shortly.

I am quite happy with the extent of the free lessons, in terms of what they cover, however I hope they are on the website soon.
Thanks Will

Also, thanks for recommending the website to other tennis players. Could you be a little bit more specific RE: your comment that “not even one good video has been added to the free lessons after FYB Premium was introduced?” We've produced a lot of free content in the last year or so — instructional videos, analysis of pro matches, live webcasts, pro hitting clips, etc… 100s of videos in all. What about these videos do you think is lacking? Thanks!

Santhosh July 23, 2010 at 5:19 pm

hey Will, What I meant as lacking was the instructional videos. For ex: In the forums I have seen many guys (including me) asking for a video on how to change direction on forehand and hit down the line. You said that instructional videos have been added. May be I missed those. what are those you are referring to ?

Pro hitting clips are ok to watch. But is not of much use unless accompanied by some detailed analysis of their techniques. Live webcasts are more for fun. I think this week you mentioned that you asked some specific questions to the pros at the wtt event. That sounds pretty useful.

To repeat what I said earlier, the free instructional videos at FYB are great. May be its not fair to ask for more of such things for free. I had some feedback I wanted to give you about FYB Premium. Will send you an private email.

thanks,
Santhosh.

I changed my browser from chrome to safari & when I tried to open a tennis lesson, I got the request to subscribe for the free news letter,

Following that , I am able to access the vids on safari

I am using chrome & I can now see the videos under the “tennis lessons” section. Thanks Will & Adam.

Will & Adam seem to be good guys, so give them the benefit of the doubt. Specifically that they would not “…force people to consider FYB premium.” They don't need to do that with a money back guarantee.
I know it is easy to be skeptical about people we have not met in person.
Cut them some slack, since running a tech intensive is a complicated job. Never mind the time they are spending in the field with interviews and lessons.

Thanks! Videos are back now. We use a number of different pieces of software to make this website go and sometimes conflicts between them cause errors like videos not displaying properly… stupid technology!
