2H Backhand Progressions Step 1: Contact
The first step of the two-handed backhand progressions is to establish your contact point, and then simply push through the ball into the follow-through. When you follow through, freeze your arms when you are fully extended out into the court; don't wrap the racket around your shoulder.

2H Backhand Progressions Step 2: Racket Back
The second step of the tennis two-handed backhand progressions is to start with your body sideways and the racket in the "racket back" position. Swing forward and rotate your body around to reach contact, then follow through with the same mechanics as the previous step.

2H Backhand Progressions Step 3: Ready Position
The third step of the tennis two-handed backhand progressions is to start in the ready position, then get yourself sideways and take the racket straight back, with no loop, to the racket back position.

2H Backhand Progressions Step 4: Start a Loop
The fourth step of the tennis two-handed backhand progressions is to start to add the beginning of a loop to your forward swing. To do this, start out with your body sideways and the racket back, but now raise your racket up slightly cock it upwards 45 degrees. Drop the racket down, then swing forward.

2H Backhand Progressions Step 5: Full Shot
The fifth and final step of the two-handed backhand progressions is to start in the ready position, pivot your outside foot and turn your shoulders, and get the racket back to the position we were in in the previous video with the racket cocked up slightly. This completes the loop in your swing, and you now have a "full" two-handed backhand motion.
