Step 1: Tennis Slice Serve Toss
The toss location on a slice serve is further to the side than it is on a flat serve. The reason is that later on in the serve you will swing across the tennis ball, as well as through it, when you make contact. A toss location further to the side allows you to impart more sidespin on the slice serve than you otherwise would be able to with a flat serve toss. read more…

Step 3: Tennis Slice Serve Follow Through
The final step of the slice serve is the follow through. Because you swung at the tennis ball differently on a slice serve, you will follow through a little bit differently. Your arm and tennis racket will end up further to the side on a slice serve, and not as much into the court like it would on a flat serve. read more…
