Introduction to the Two-Handed Backhand

WHERE’S THE VIDEO?!?!
This video is available if you sign up for our newsletter. Don’t worry — it’s 100% FREE!

Also send me FYB’s 100% FREE 45 minute email course. Over 3 days we look at the forehands of Federer, Nadal, and other top pros and compare them to real-life amateur players to figure out exactly what the amateurs — and you — need to do to improve.

There are a couple things every good player does when they hit a two-handed backhand. We call these things the fundamentals. We’ve broken the fundamentals down into four steps: Pivot and Shoulder Turn, Taking your Racket Back, Swinging Forward, and Following Through. In this section we’re going to tell you how to do each step, show you slow motion video of each individual step, and then show you pictures of some of the top Pros on tour hitting their backhands and executing the fundamentals we’ve talked about here.
