What is Fuzzy Yellow Balls?

Fuzzy Yellow Balls is a site where tennis players from across the world come to learn how to play tennis online for free, discuss the sport and socialize.  We also send a weekly tennis newsletter that highlights what’s new to help the tennis community grow with the sport.  FYB’s content is both exclusive and incredibly unique, combining the expertise of some of the Washington, DC area’s top tennis pros with innovative teaching technologies and strategies.

Will Hamilton

Co-Founder, Coach,

Tennis:
Will started playing tennis at the age of 5. He was a member of the Davidson College tennis team (Division One) and, after graduation, coached at the Tennis Center at College Park outside Washington, DC. He is a PTR Certified Professional.
Will felt that the combination of his style of teaching, Frank's extensive knowledge of the game as both a player and coach and Adam's technical expertise could create a new, fun way to learn tennis online. Other:Will graduated from Maret High School in 2000. He graduated from Davidson College in Davidson, NC in 2004 with a B.S. in Political Science.

Adam Sieminski

Tech:
Co-Founder, Technology / Photo / Video
Adam grew up with Will in Washington, DC. At a young age he became interested in computers and before entering college he had earned numerous professional certifications from Microsoft (MCP, MSCE [NT4, 2000, 2003], MCSA, MOS), Cisco (CCNA) and CompTIA (A+, Net+). He also is an avid photographer and videographer.

Other:
Graduated Landon School for Boys in 2000. Graduated University of Arizona in 2006 with BAs in Spanish and Business.
Adam played tennis competitively as a junior but is now terrible. Most ten year olds can beat him. Adam and Will became best friends in first grade at the Beauvoir School in Washington, DC. Adam's LEGO fortresses were better than Will's and this left Will with a permanent inferiority complex.

Frank Salazar (aka 'Zar)

High-Performance Coach

Tennis:
Frank started playing tennis when he was 10 years old. He was the No. 1 ranked junior in the world and won the Orange Bowl. He played No. 1 for Clemson University, played on the ATP Tour and coached a number of pro players.
He currently is the Director of Coaching for the Champion's Center at the Tennis Center at College Park (TCCP). He has developed and continues to coach some of the top-ranked juniors in the nation and his players have won several national titles. He is a PTR Certified Professional and a USTA certified high-performance coach.

Other:
Frank loves to run and in 2006 ran the Boston marathon in under three hours. He plans to climb Mount Kilimanjaro early next year. He also has a winning smile.

Oliver Akli
Oliver is the former No. 1 player from Togo and played Davis Cup for them. He is currently a senior pro at the Tennis Center at College Park. If you are in the DC area and are looking for a lesson you can contact him at komi-akli@verizon.net or by calling (301) 779 8000. His slice backhand is deadly.  

Where is Fuzzy Yellow Balls?

FYB is filmed primarily at the Tennis Center at College Park, a world-class tennis facility just outside Washington, DC. The TCCP is home to the Champions Center, one of the nation's top high-performance junior tennis programs. We would like to say a special thanks to everyone at the TCCP for helping us to make this happen and for putting up with us.
