We had a chance to briefly speak with Mike and Bob Bryan at the BCF Tennis Challenge last week. We started by talking about the event, which was founded by HOFer Pam Shriver in 1986 and raises money for Baltimore-area charities.
We also got the Bryans’ take on proper volley technique. One thing they mentioned was the footwork — always stay light on your feet and “bounce up-and-down.” You can see what they’re talking about in this post on Bob Bryan’s volleys.
Finally, check out the Mike and Bob’s new album on iTunes.

Will,
God job.. keep the interviews coming. You obviously have what it takes to be successful, passion and determination.
They sound like great guys as well as being the best doubles team. Really enjoyed the interview and the advice they gave on volleying was brief but very helpful and simple to follow in my own game.
I respect their tennis considerably more than their ability to execute a coherent interview. The video is a 2 minute waste!
Sorry Will. But you can and have done better.
Mestengo, get off your couch, get out of your house and do something useful. You might find positive things in life. Sit on your behind way too long, never experience taking any risks yourself will make you under estimate the accomplishment of others and make you run your mouth recklessly.
mestengo you suck
I respect their tennis considerably more than their ability to execute a coherent interview. A two minute waste of internet space.
Sorry Will. You can and have done better.
Man you’re lucky to meet them
btw keep the interviews coming if you don’t mind they really help:)
I like this interview, I love this web. I wish you continue for this way.
Heh you looked pretty nervous during the interview. Must have been awesome to meet them and do the interview. The advice they said were doubles fundamentals that some of us have heard hundreds of times. But as you can see from world class players they have mastered and are exceptional at following them.
yeah, they did sound like great guys. did any of you talk to murray? a friend of mine talked to him and told me he’s a total asshole
