Advantage

If a game is tied at 40-40 (deuce), the player who wins that point is said to have the advantage because winning the following point will also win the game.  If the server wins the deuce point, the following point is then referred to as “ad-in.” If the returner wins the deuce point, the next point is called “ad-out.”
